Hosting Options
Cloud
- Cloud Servers – API compatible with Amazon EC2. The advantage is in our host nodes with premium disk storage (15K RPM SAS and SSD Drives), as opposed to SATA disks. We use massive amounts of RAM (up to 1TB). And since it's in our datacenter, you receive faster communication to and from other hosting assets. Lastly, we can offer the full hosting lifecycle.
- Storage – API compatible with Amazon S3, our Cloud Storage will scale with you and your application. In addition to using our API, POSIX compatible file systems are available via a private interconnection.
Cluster
Instead of offering managed servers, we offer managed clusters. Our web applications are never isolated or limited to a single machine, so you're not exposed to otherwise avoidable downtime from software updates or hardware failures.
It's for similar reasons we believe companies should not compromise themselves with a "single server" approach to hosting. When your traffic suddenly sees spikes or sudden, explosive growth, having a base architecture already dedicated to specific functions can easily keep up.
Phyber offers the following Managed Cluster options:
High Availability (HA) Cluster - Two identical mirrored machines with replication. If a failure occurs the secondary server takes over from the primary.

Colo+ (Colocation Plus)

This gives our clients the opportunity to own and manage their own equipment, and at the same time receive support if and when it's necessary.
Most standard co-location facilities provide only floor-space, power, and Internet access. We think that companies should have the ability to locate their equipment in premium datacenters, while receiving a flexible level of support.

- Content Acceleration and Delivery
Phyber offers both Content Acceleration and Delivery Network to help your application scale up and improve performance to your users. Content Acceleration is a custom in-datacenter deployment of caching and acceleration servers used to offload traffic from your server equipment. Requests for frequently used, but infrequently changed, objects are cached in RAM and delivered instantly.
The next logical add-on is the utilization of a Global Content Delivery Network. Like Content Acceleration, your frequently used objects are cached, only a CDN does so on equipment strategically located across the globe. Using a CDN provides the ultimate performance boost and experience for your users.
Phyber works with all of the major CDN providers and as an option is an Edgecast reseller. This gives you the advantage of having one invoice for your services and Phyber managing your CDN, creating less headaches for you.
